What is the Flynn's COVID-19 health and safety policy?

The Flynn encourages everyone to wear a mask while attending a performance to protect yourself and others in the theater. Masks and proof of COVID-19 vaccination status are no longer required.

Please be aware that some shows may require additional health and safety protocols. Please check your show page before coming to the theater to find policy information specific to your show.

If you or someone in your group doesn’t feel well, please stay home. Please call or email the box office to review your ticket options: 802-863-5966 or box@flynnvt.org.

What is the Dress Circle?

At Dress Circle shows, two additional rows of seats are set up in front of row A in the Main Stage theater. These performances will not have an orchestra. It is the decision of the artist and/or promoter whether they want these two extra rows. Any time there is Dress Circle seating available for a performance, it will be noted, along with pricing and other information, on our website.

How can I search for the performance/show I want?

You can type in the name of the artist, the genre, or the presenter in the "Search" bar in the upper right hand part of the homepage. Also, when you scroll down on the home page, you will see a section for "At the Flynn"; if you click, "See All Events," you will be taken to a full listing of shows and events, listed in chronological order. Or, you can click on Calendar, under the Calendar & Tickets in the navigation pane, to view all upcoming shows and events.

Where do I find my seat numbers?

After selecting your show and adding tickets to you cart, once you get to the Shopping Cart page, you will see your seat numbers in the details of the show. Please note that general admission shows do not show seat numbers.

Can I see my seats on a seat map?

For venues with reserved seats, including the Flynn Main Stage, there will be a “View Seating Chart” link in the Shopping Cart.

What if I need special seating?

If our regular theater seats do not meet the needs of someone in your party for any reason, please request accessibility accommodations in the field provided at checkout , or contact the Box Office by phone at 802-863-5966 or visit 153 Main Street, Burlington, for assistance.

What if I want to change my seats or sit in a specific area?

For many events, you will be able to select your seats from a seat map when you add tickets to your Shopping Cart. For events where this option is not available, the web ticketing system will assign you the best available seat(s) in the price level/section you select. If our regular theater seating does not meet the needs of someone in your party for any reason, please request accessibility accommodations in the field provided at checkout. Please note that, with the exception of relocation for accessibility needs, all sales, including seat locations, are final. If you want to sit in a specific area within a section, or have specific seating requests, please call or visit the Flynn Box Office.

Does my two-month/two-year-old child need a ticket?

Yes. Due to local fire codes, every person needs a ticket, regardless of whether or not they will be sitting in a seat or on a lap. The only exception to this is that infants up to 12 months old will be admitted free to Flynn-presented family matinee performances, specifically designated in the season brochure. Other promoters will generally specify their policies regarding children. If there is no specific text with the performance that says children under a certain age are admitted free, you should expect to buy a ticket for all members of your party.

How much are the service fees? What are they for?

The Flynn is a nonprofit organization and we charge fees to help defer the cost of doing business. A 12% processing fee is added to all ticket orders. This fee allows the Flynn to cover the infrastructure costs for processing web orders, as well as the costs of staffing and upkeep of the phone system.

What taxes are added to ticket purchases?

Ticket purchases typically incur a 9% sales tax which is added at checkout on top of the price of the tickets. This 9% sales tax includes a 7% State of Vermont sales tax and a 2% City of Burlington sales tax.

Why does the Flynn ask for my address and phone when I purchase tickets?

If you’re paying with a check or credit card, our system requires that we have address and telephone information to protect our customers against fraud. We also are unique in that we will replace lost tickets for Flynn-presented performances; to do that, we need to collect this information so we have a record of the sale. Finally, if there is ever a cancellation or change to a performance, particularly a date or time change, we need to be able to contact you.

What if I want my tickets shipped to a different address?

While checking out on the Flynn site, select mail as your delivery method and click continue. In the next section, you will enter your “Delivery Address.” You may enter a different delivery address here.

When and how should I expect to receive my tickets?

Once you have placed your order, you will receive a confirmation email immediately then within 5 minutes a ticket email  from noreply@flynnvt.org that includes your tickets as a printable PDF.  If you select will call instead, your tickets will be held at the box office at 153 Main Street in Burlington to be picked up on the night of the performance. Please note that the box office opens two hours before each show and that an ID will be required when picking up tickets. Finally, on the day of the show, you are also be able to access your tickets by going to My Account on the Flynn website.

What if I want someone else to pick up my tickets for me?

When you click “Checkout” on the Shopping Cart page, you will see options for the delivery of your tickets. Select “Hold at Box Office” and, in the box below, enter the name of the person who will be picking up the tickets. Remember that an ID is required to pick up tickets.

What if I want someone else to pick up my tickets for me, but my show is not at the Flynn?

However, please note that will call tickets for venues other than the Flynn need to be picked up at that venue on the day of the show.

Will you use my phone number, email, or mailing address for direct marketing or sell them to other organizations?

We are required to collect certain information on our website when you order tickets or make a contribution, but we also request additional information so that we can tailor the online experience. You have the option of indicating your interest preferences (jazz, dance, etc.) and we use that information to suggest performances you may be interested in, and to mail you relevant information. You may choose not to submit this information. You may also customize your email and mail preferences to identify how you would like us to communicate with you. The Flynn does not sell or rent names, postal addresses, phone numbers, or email addresses. Read our privacy policy for more information.

Why are there tickets available for a higher price on other websites?

The Flynn does not provide tickets to other sellers, with the exception of occasional partnerships with nonprofit organizations as fundraisers. Tickets purchased from other sources are purchased at your own risk. We urge patrons to purchase tickets through us only. Tickets available on other websites are usually sold by ticket scalpers who charge inflated prices. By purchasing through us, you are assured that the ticket you receive is valid and is being sold to you at face value.

May I resell my ticket if I cannot use it?

You may resell your ticket for the face value of the ticket price. The Flynn Box Office does not condone the secondary sale of tickets for a value exceeding the purchase price and reserves the right not to do business with any individual known to engage in this practice.
