The Main Stage is the Flynn’s original theater, built in 1930 and fully restored in 2000. This 1,439-seat venue hosts music, theater, Broadway, comedy, dance, and family shows. The Main Stage is available for concerts and other public performances, as well as weddings and other large gatherings. Additional adjoining spaces, including a spacious lobby, with a concessions area, and the Amy E. Tarrant Gallery are also available for receptions or breakouts.
Located below street level, Flynn Space is a flexible black box theater that’s ideal for emerging, local, and experimental artists, as well as established acts touring more intimate productions. Flynn Space can be reconfigured for live music, cabaret, theater, and more. Depending on how the space is used, it can accommodate from 110 to 200+ people. It is equipped with a Yamaha C-7 grand piano available for rent and comes with a basic sound and lighting package.
The Amy E. Tarrant Gallery is an exhibition and reception space that is an extension of the Flynn’s Main Stage lobby. The gallery is open prior to Main Stage shows and during intermission. The gallery is a perfect space for receptions or breakouts.
The Flynn has two dance studios—Chase Studio (1,000 sq. ft.), on the first floor, and Hoehl Studio (1,050 sq. ft.), on the third floor—primarily used for classes and camps. Both are equipped with pianos, a sound system, sprung floors, freestanding barres, mirrored walls, and a variety of amenities to enhance student learning and interaction.
