Serving communities across Vermont, the Flynn is a beacon of creativity and inspiration. For over 90 years, the Flynn has been a cornerstone for the arts, evolving from a 1930s Vaudeville theater to a vibrant hub for world-class performances, student engagement, and arts programming for all. We believe in the power of the performing arts to inspire wonder and joy and to deepen empathy for ourselves and each other.  

Last season, we had the largest audience in our history: 160,000 people, the equivalent of 1 out of every 4 Vermonters. We also expanded our free programming for children and families. Highlights include:

• 735 student jazz musicians from across Vermont played on Church Street during the Burlington Discover Jazz Festival
• 13,000 students and families across 7 Vermont counties attended Playing Fields, which celebrates the start of the school year with free, joyful outdoor performances
• 400 students joined us for Kickline, a day of dance and movement at the Burlington Waterfront
